JOS International Membership, By-Laws and Membership Information
Purpose
The purpose of JOS International Membership is to increase communication with ophthalmologists, researchers, and co-medicals from all over the world, especially from other Asian countries, by offering the chance to present their work and to promote personal exchange, joint effort between industry and academia, and educational and personal interactions. To that end it is to develop and progress in ophthalmological research in other Asian countries as well as in Japan.
Requirements
1) Non-Japanese overseas ophthalmologists who would like to attend either of the annual conferences held by JOS.
2) The endorsement from either president and approval at the board meeting.
Applications
1) Applications for international membership can be submitted on the annual conference WEB site during the abstracts submission period.
2) A 3000 yen fee is required upon approval for international membership, as well as the conference admission fee.
Membership Details
1) Valid for 1 year for 2 annual conferences, not automatically renewable.
2) Same benefits as JOS members when presenting at the annual conferences and discounted admission fees
3) Access the electronic version of the JOS journal.
